Giants Acquire Simmons from Cards in Exchange for 7th-Round Pick
The Arizona Cardinals have traded Isaiah Simmons, their 2020 first-round pick, to the New York Giants for a 2024 seventh-round pick. Simmons, who was moved to safety this offseason, played 25 snaps in his second preseason game at his new position. The Cardinals decided not to pick up Simmons’ fifth-year option, and under new GM Monti Ossenfort, they made the decision to move on from him. In addition to Simmons, the Cardinals are also sending OT Josh Jones and a seventh-round pick to the Texans in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2024. The deals are pending physicals.
