Former Eagles Linebacker Maxie Baughan, College Football Hall of Famer, passes away at the age of 85
Maxie Baughan, a former NFL linebacker and coach, has passed away at the age of 85. Baughan played for the Philadelphia Eagles for six seasons, winning an NFL title in his rookie year in 1960. He was known for his tough and hard-nosed style of football, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors during his career. After retiring as a player, Baughan went on to work as an assistant coach at various teams before becoming Cornell University’s head coach in 1984. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
