Following a surprise 2022 season where they not only made the postseason, but won a playoff game, expectations around the New York Giants are high for 2023, but they might have to go into the season without the services of their best offensive weapon. Earlier this week, the deadline for Saquon Barkley (and other franchise-tagged players) to sign his extension passed, leaving him to play on what amounts to a one-year deal. While it was reported that New York and Barkley were “close” to an agreement, it never materialized, leading Barkley to comment on whether he would consider holding out. “Anybody [who] knows me, knows that’s not something I want to do. Is it something that’s crossed my mind? I never thought I would ever do that, but now I’m at a point where I’m like, ‘Jesus, I might have to take it to this level.’ Am I prepared to take it to this level? I don’t know.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In NFL history, a player has reached 2,000 or more yards from scrimmage in a season on 71 occasions, including Barkley, who did so in his rookie season. So with that in mind, how many of the 71 can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
