Report: Dalvin Cook has ‘multiple offers’ on the table

It may be a while before free-agent running back Dalvin Cook decides where he wants to play next season, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t already have some viable options already on the table.

During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Tuesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero disclosed that Cook has already been given contract offers from several teams, but he might wait until training camp gets underway before landing on a new team.

“The best money may come when teams realize their rookies maybe aren’t ready or there’s an injury that happens,” Pelissero said. “But this is not a situation where he doesn’t have offers, Dalvin Cook has multiple offers right now, and he’s going to command a significant contract. … He’s in control here because he’s that rare player that transcends the market. Guys like this just don’t become available mid-June.”

While it’s not known which teams have made Cook an offer, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald confirmed the Miami Dolphins were one of them. Cook recently stated that he would be a perfect fit in Miami’s offense.
