Thus far, there has been no indication that Brown’s tweet has any legitimacy, and it would make little to no sense for Baltimore to make perhaps the most controversial signing imaginable right in the middle of the ongoing NFL Draft.

Interestingly, however, the Ravens player who wore No. 84 last season (tight end Josh Oliver) signed with the Minnesota Vikings in March, perhaps leaving AB’s longtime uniform number available.

The wide receiver position has long been discussed as a weak spot ever since Jackson took over as the starting quarterback midway through the 2018 campaign. Baltimore has not only added OBJ though, but selected former Boston College stud Zay Flowers as the 22nd overall pick on Thursday night in Round 1 of the NFL Draft as well.

Flowers, who led the ACC in touchdowns (12) last season, was the third wideout off the board, after the Seattle Seahawks chose Jaxon Smith-Njigba at 20th overall and the Los Angeles Chargers took Quentin Johnston with the No. 21 pick. The Ravens also hope to have Rashod Bateman healthy for a full season for the first time since he was drafted 27th overall in 2021.

Obviously, if any team were to even consider bringing in Brown at this point, they would be bringing in a 34-year-old who hasn’t played since the 2021 season and hasn’t suited up for more than eight games since the 2018 campaign. The seven-time Pro Bowler may have more baggage than any other recent NFL player too, and he was most recently involved in an altercation with security during his first game as co-owner of the National Arena League’s Albany Empire in mid-April.
