The Cowboys’ Quarterbacks Coach Likely Won’t Return in 2025
The Dallas Cowboys promoted offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach, but they are expected to revamp their offensive coaching staff. Former Cowboys quarterback coach Scott Tolzien is not expected to return, but he may resurface as a coordinator elsewhere. Schottenheimer will be looking to hire an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, but will also call offensive plays himself. There is optimism that some current coaches, such as tight ends coach Lunda Wells, will remain with the team. Despite changes, quarterback Dak Prescott has a good relationship with Schottenheimer and is supportive of his creativity in play calling.
